The American Pacific University is an online degree granting academic institution located in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was founded in 1994 and in April 2005, it received it’s non-profit status. The University has, since its inception, offered distance education courses. The first course that was made available was degree-level education in Hypnotherapy. Doctoral degree in Esoteric Studies was added to the University’s program in 1999.
In 2006, the American Pacific University developed it’s online Master’s Degree Program in Transpersonal Psychology. Transpersonal Psychology is a new branch of study that focuses on the various states and processes people experience when they begin to have a deeper sense or understanding of who they are and how they are ‘spiritually’ connected to other beings. It is the unique merger of both Eastern and Western schools of thought; and the study of the “whole” person: mind, body and spirit.
To obtain admission into the American Pacific University, applicants are required to submit the Admission and Degree program requirements and these include (but are not limited to) official transcript of records, letters of recommendation, a resume or curriculum vitae, and a completed application form. American Pacific University’s tuition fee for one credit hour is roughly $485.00 and does not cover the cost of textbooks and other miscellaneous expenses.
