Miller-Motte College Online

Miller-Motte College, along with Miller-Motte Technical College, belongs to a chain of for-profit colleges throughout the southern part of the United States. Founded in 1916 in Wilmington, North Carolina by Judge Leon Motte, the school was initially intended to provide training for courtroom stenographers. Through mergers and acquisitions, the school was able to acquire Phillips Business College in the late 1990s, giving it greater resources to serve the educational needs of business and healthcare communities. Over the years and with its steady expansion, Miller-Motte College was able to establish other campuses in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

In 2009, the college established its online campus, Miller-Motte College Online, for working students who may be interested to complete their education or pursue a degree but may be unable to do so because of their busy work schedules or family situations which make it difficult to attend regular on-campus classes.

Miller-Motte College Online brings the classroom to the students and offers them online two-year Associates of Applied Science and four-year Bachelor of Science degree programs. These online programs include Associate of Applied Science degrees in Accounting; Criminal Justice; Health Information Technology; Management; Microcomputer Applications; and Paralegal; and Bachelor of Science degrees in Allied Health Management; Business Administration; Criminal Justice; and Nursing.

Cost of tuition depends on the degree program chosen. Financial aid in the form of loans and grants are extended along with various financing options to make it easier for students to pursue their education. All queries and applications can be done online.

Miller-Motte College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
