University of the Rockies Online

University of the Rockies, founded in 1998, was originally focused on providing professional graduate education in psychology. Today it is a private graduate school that has branched out into two schools: School of Professional Psychology, and School of Organizational Leadership. It is still best known for the excellent quality of its psychology programs. The University of the Rockies is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is an associate member of the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology.

The university has made their programs more easily accessible to busy professionals by offering some of their programs in an online format. They offer online graduate certificate programs in Business Psychology, Criminology and Justice Studies, General Psychology, and Organizational Leadership. They also offer their specialty programs online, which are the Master of Arts in Psychology program, and Doctor of Psychology program. Both the online Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology programs offer a good number of choices in specializations, such as Executive Coaching, International Leadership, Mental Health Administration, Organizational Diversity, Sports and Performance Psychology, and more.

All applicants to the online programs, whether degree-seeking or not, must have a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and have earned a cumulative GPa of at least 2.0. Applicants to the Doctor of Psychology program must also have a Master’s degree in psychology or a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Tuition for the online graduate certificate programs and Master’s degree programs are $672 per credit hour. Tuition for the online Doctor of Psychology program is $882 per credit hour. Financial aid is available to eligible students in the form of loans, Veterans educational benefits, Military tuition assistance, and employer reimbursement.
